Colleen CD/Vinyl Packaging

Working with Kyle Bean, we created Art Direction and Design for Colleen to suit the bizarre nature of her music. The instruments and sounds have a natural overtone to them. The music is repetitive, calming and looped. The artist uses sound clips which are then distorted and altered to create a nostalgic and yet slightly sinister atmosphere.

The imagery represented the natural sounds in the music, and this was reflected in materials used. Found materials seemed to be a natural decision.

The typography was then set to reflect the way in which the objects were hung by string in a typeface drew up by myself and used in a playful way, but separate from the photography inside the CD case.
