Adam’s Apple
Inequality in Design
Why does gender inequality in Design occur? Does this represent a significant shortcoming of our field of work, are we looking at a generation shift, or do you have another opinion? Adam’s apple is a proposed promotional package, laid out reminiscent of apple packaging, sent to designers to raise awareness for a blog site on the same topic.
As the identity suggests, the booklets challenge perspective on genetic and professional differences between genders. It plays on social prejudices, such as what do we think of when we see the word ‘welder’. Normally the answer would be male, despite the fact many of us have never physically met a welder.
